It was bought by my parents as a 18th Birthday present.

550$ (USD) at 'Master Musicians' on the East Coast. My Ibanez EX 370 was purchased in 1993 (Brand New) for approx. And then I'll mount it on the wall and smile every time I walk by it. I'll keep it til the day I can't move my fingers anymore. I'm still amazed how good it plays after gluing the neck back together. The neck is so thin and fast I can play for hours. I glued it back it place and it stills plays like a million bucks (with some minor upper end fret buzz).ДЄfter 12 years I still can't believe how easy this thing is to play.

My Black Lab knocked it out of the guitar stand last year and it cracked the neck behind the nut. The tone knob finally gave way and fell off last year. I'll save that for my next 'standard bridge' Ibanez. I play in standard tuning now and don't even mess with the low stuff. I hate doing alternate tunings because you have to adjust the tremolo just right (trial and error). I added a Seymour Duncan George Lynch Screamin Demon in the bridge. Those things are a pain in the ass to play while sitting.

I bought it because I was sick of playing my Aria Pro II Flying V. I bought my Ibanez EX 370 in 1996 for $150.00 at a Pawn shop in Warner Robins, Georgia. My wife will make me play a country song every now and then. I play Pink Floyd and the Eagles when I feel like mellowing out.

I mostly play ryhthm so I stick to a lot of AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Metallica and Pantera. I've shared and received many playing tips over the years with many a guitar player. I've been in the Air Force for 22 years and have moved around a lot. I've been in a few garage bands but nothing serious. I picked it up fairly quick and have been shredding ever since. So I bought a really cheap guitar from a friend and started playing by ear. I had played trumpet for years so I understood how music worked. One day I heard my neighbor playing guitar in his garage so I went over to check it out. Yeah man.THATS exactly right what you say.i have a ls 300 too.the fastest neck i ever saw ansd play!believe me, i know a lot of guitars and have 8 acoustic.Tama,3 yairis,astoria!hГ¶fner.some of the stuff,what i need ALL my consentration on other guitars,play it on ls 300 with a smile!i buy it last year for 75,- euro in germany.i saw 2 mounths befor a mint condition Ls300 for 350,- euro in a shop in hamburg, moved from Ohio to California in 1982 because my Dad got a better job. Other players were always commenting on the nice look of my guitar.

You can play across the frets faster, and save fractions of seconds getting complex chords formed. There are more expensive guitars that give a better sound, but the LS300 is an absolute delight to play because of the slim neck. : I don't think $1600 is unreasonable for one of these rare guitars if it's in good condition. I always used to have my chords formed way before the other guys in my band did because they had the traditional fat necks, which slowed them down not only for chord playing but for getting accurate picking done as well. : I said in another post that I believe the reason these were one of the best acoustic guitars ever made was the thinner-than-usual neck, which allowed the player to get chords positioned a fraction of a second faster than other guitars. I cannot recommend it highly enough and it is a great disappointment to me that good guitarists of today may never know that their playing would be enhanced even more on an LS300. : I agree with you Tim that the Ibanez Lonestar LS300 acoustic was a great guitar.
